Artist's Comments

Sketch from last year.. focuses mostly on shading, not too much of an idea behind it. The head is allright looking, but when you get past the neck the arms and chest are all out of proportion and don't look like they connect right.....

I like it! Ive had drawings like that, when you think theyre out of proportion but they still work. When I first used an easel to sketch life models they all turned out with tiny heads and huge feet coz I was sitting to close! But they looked ok, like huge giants bein observed from the ground lol!

Looks good to me, like its dripping off the page!

Kerry.

The person looks so used and pre-fabricated, like a genomic slave of the far future. This piece matches a feeling of a poem I wrote a few years back. Let me know if it empathy resonates with it..

"untiled"

Gone are the days of charkas investigation
Consumed by nucleotide based consciousness
Feelings within the molecula strata fade
No more commenting on astral conclusions
Orchestrated fashions of suspended morality
Proteins of principle importance march forth
Cruixifing deoxyribonucleic acid
New prayers to a new god
We repent through genome therapy
To forgive genetic sins of mutations past.
Once the domain of the soul
Tools to modify the invisible
Replaced by the directionless amoral machine
And useless awareness
More method then life
Leaving no room for hope
Slitting the throat of natures artistic genius
Strange wholehearted participation in our own destruction
Future lunatic lovers will be
Married to the hell of mankind's making
